Right now, most people find a plumber by asking a neighbour, a cousin, or the guard at the gate. If nobody has a name, you take a chance on whoever turns up. We built Lokal Builder so that chance isn’t the deciding factor.
Ask around and you hear the same two complaints. Homeowners can’t tell a good tradesperson from a bad one until the work is already done. And good tradespeople spend their days waiting on word of mouth, with no way to reach the family two streets over who needs exactly what they do.
Both sides are trying to find each other. Nothing connects them.
You describe the job once. We show it to verified tradespeople working near you, and they tell you if they’re interested. You see their rating, how many jobs they’ve finished, and whether we’ve checked their CNIC — then you choose.
Your number stays private until you approve someone. After that, you deal with them directly. We don’t sit in the middle of your job.
Four rules we’d rather be judged on than a mission statement.

Worth being blunt about, because it explains every decision on the rest of the site.

We’re early. Lokal Builder is starting in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and we’re signing up tradespeople before we push hard on jobs — a marketplace with nobody on one side isn’t worth using.
That means in some areas and some trades you may not get a response yet. When that happens we’ll tell you plainly rather than leaving your job sitting there. And we’ll notify you the moment somebody who fits joins nearby.
